William grew up in Montreal, Canada where his musical journey began at the age of three. He went on to study piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music for many years where he excelled in classical music. “Even though I always loved playing piano as a child the idea of pursuing music as a profession had only come about during my teenage years. From this point onward I developed such a profound interest in composing music that there was nothing else I could see myself doing.”

At the age of 25 he moved to Los Angeles where he had the privilege of collaborating with notable pop songwriters such as Billy Steinberg (Like A Virgin/Madonna), Richard Adrissi (Never My Love/The Association), Laura Branigan (Gloria), and many others. While dedicating most of his time working in the pop musical realm he has recently made more of a transition towards instrumental composition. “I feel a very strong and inherent connection to instrumental music because my foundation is essentially classical music.”
